Talk to an AI Vedic Astrologer by Phone
Call Tara, AstroCall's AI Vedic astrologer. Give her your birth date, time and place, and she casts your chart while you're on the line and talks you through it.
AstroCall is a phone line where you talk to Tara, an AI astrologer who reads Vedic (sidereal) birth charts. Your chart is calculated by astronomical software from your birth details, not guessed or made up by the AI; Tara's job is to interpret those calculated positions and answer your questions in plain language. The first 3 minutes of every call are free.
What Tara is
Tara is a voice assistant built for one thing: reading Vedic birth charts in conversation. Her reasoning comes from Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, and her voice from ElevenLabs. She introduces herself as an AI, and if you ask whether she's a real person, she says plainly that she isn't.
It's a conversation, not a report: ask what's on your mind, interrupt, or change the subject, the way you would with a person.
How a call works, step by step
- You call. Tara answers, says who she is, and asks what brings you in.
- She asks for your birth details. Your date of birth, the time as exactly as you know it, and the town or city where you were born. If you don't know your time, say so; she can still read a lot from the Moon and planets.
- Your chart is cast live. The software calculates your rising sign (lagna), Moon sign, birth nakshatra, houses, planet positions, planetary periods (dashas) and today's transits.
- You ask, she reads. Love, work, timing, a decision you're weighing. She answers from the chart in front of her.
- You keep going or hang up. If your minutes run low mid-call, press 1 to get a payment link by text, and Tara picks up where she stopped once it's paid.
What the AI does, and what the calculation does
The calculation is astronomy and arithmetic. Planet positions come from the Swiss Ephemeris. The zodiac is sidereal with the Lahiri ayanamsa, houses are whole-sign, Rahu and Ketu are the mean nodes, and the planetary periods follow the Vimshottari dasha system. The AI never decides where your Moon was.
The interpretation is where the AI comes in. Tara reads the finished chart and connects it to your question: why your Saturn period has felt heavy, what your Venus says about how you love. Interpretation is a tradition, not a measurement, and she treats it that way.
You can check the calculation side yourself with the free Vedic birth chart calculator, which runs on the same engine.
How this differs from asking a chatbot
You can paste your birth details into a general chatbot and ask for a reading. The trouble is that most chatbots have no ephemeris to consult. They often estimate where the planets were, and the estimate can be off by a whole sign, especially for the fast-moving Moon and the rising sign.
Tara works the other way around:
- Positions are calculated, then interpreted. She is handed your chart to a fraction of a degree. She reads it; she doesn't invent it.
- One system, consistently. Chatbots often slip between the Western and Vedic zodiacs. If you've wondered why your sign changes between them, see why your sign is different in Vedic astrology.
- Today's sky. Current transits and your running dasha are worked out for the day you call.
- She can remember you. If you like, Tara keeps your birth details and a few notes between calls, so next time you carry on instead of starting over.
Is this an "AI kundli"?
In a sense. A kundli is the Indian name for a Vedic birth chart, and Tara builds the full one on the call, navamsa included. Instead of pages of generic paragraphs, you hear the parts that answer what you asked.
What it costs
The first 3 minutes of a call are free. After that, calls use prepaid minutes in packs of 15, 30 or 60. There's no subscription and nothing else for sale: no gemstones, rituals or paid remedies.
Privacy in brief
On a call, AstroCall keeps the call transcript and short notes, and your birth details if you ask Tara to remember them, so she can pick up where you left off. Say "forget me" on a call and your saved details and notes are deleted. The free tools on this site save nothing. Details are in the privacy policy, and about AstroCall explains how the service is built.
What Tara can't do
Tara is an AI reading a tradition, and both have limits. She can't know the future, won't make predictions about your health, money or legal matters, and isn't a substitute for a doctor, lawyer, therapist or financial advisor. Astrology isn't a proven science (our honest take: is Vedic astrology accurate?), so a reading works best as a lens for reflection. If that sounds useful, call Tara and hear what your chart has to say.
Questions people ask
Is Tara a real astrologer or an AI?
Tara is an AI. Her reasoning comes from Claude, a model made by Anthropic, and her voice is generated by ElevenLabs. She says she's an AI at the start of a call and whenever you ask. The chart she reads is calculated by astronomical software, so the positions are exact even though the interpretation comes from an AI.
Can AI do Vedic astrology accurately?
It depends on where the chart comes from. An AI that estimates planet positions from memory can get them wrong. Tara never does that: the chart is calculated first with the Swiss Ephemeris and the Lahiri ayanamsa, then given to her to interpret. The positions are precise; what a placement means is tradition, not proven science.
How much does a call cost?
The first 3 minutes of every call are free. After that you use prepaid minutes, sold in packs of 15, 30 or 60. There's no subscription and nothing renews on its own. If your minutes run out mid-call, you can press 1, pay by a texted link, and keep talking.
Will Tara remember my chart next time?
She can. Tara asks whether you'd like her to remember your birth details; say yes and, with the short notes AstroCall keeps from each call, she can pick up where you left off without asking again. If you'd prefer she didn't, say "forget me" during a call and your saved details and notes are deleted.
