Free Birth Chart Reading

Enter your birth date, time and place for a free, in-depth Vedic reading of your chart: how you meet the world, what settles you, what's strong, the chapter of life you're in and what comes next. No email, no sign-up.

A birth chart reading explains what the positions of the Sun, Moon and planets at the moment you were born say about you. The chart itself is a diagram; the reading turns it into plain words: your temperament, your strengths, the themes that keep coming back and, in Vedic astrology, the timing of the periods you live through.

How you meet the world: Pisces rising

Pisces rising makes you gentle, imaginative and deeply perceptive. You absorb the feelings around you and often know things before you can explain them. Jupiter rules your chart, so compassion and a search for meaning run through your life. The lesson is boundaries: protecting the sensitivity that is your gift.

Revati rising gives a soft, gentle and approachable presence, often with kind eyes and a dreamy quality. Jupiter rules the Pisces ascendant, adding warmth and generosity, while Mercury as nakshatra lord brings intelligence and wit. People tend to trust you and confide in you. Revati ascendants often lead lives shaped by service, creativity or travel, and they frequently become a guiding presence for others.

Your chart's ruler, Jupiter, sits in your 6th house, in Leo. Your energy goes into work and service: you grow by solving problems, building good habits and outlasting difficulties that would stop other people.

Your mind: Moon in Cancer, Punarvasu nakshatra

The Moon rules Cancer, so here it is at home: your feelings run deep and your memory is long. You settle through family, home and the people you belong to. You give care easily; letting others care for you is the harder skill.

With the Moon in Punarvasu, you tend to recover emotionally faster than people expect. Disappointments hurt, but you return to a hopeful baseline and look for what can be salvaged. You need a sense of home, a little freedom to roam and people you can trust. Jupiter rules Punarvasu, so your Vimshottari dasha sequence begins with a Jupiter period of up to sixteen years, followed by Saturn's nineteen. Childhood under Jupiter is often associated with learning, mentors or a supportive extended family. The Cancer quarter, where the Moon sits in its own sign, tends to deepen the emotional and protective side.

The thread through your life: Mars

With Mars as your atmakaraka, the thread through your life is courage. Life hands you situations that need nerve, and you are built to go first. The lesson is choosing which battles build something, and putting a strong drive into effort rather than conflict.

It sits in your 11th house, so this plays out most through gains, friendships and long-held goals.

What's strong in your chart

The Moon is at home in Cancer, its own sign, which gives you emotional steadiness and good instincts about people.

Mars is exalted in Capricorn, its strongest sign, which gives you drive, courage and the energy to finish what you start.

Saturn is at home in Capricorn, its own sign, which gives you patience, discipline and the ability to build things that last.

The Moon and Jupiter are vargottama, in the same sign in your birth chart and your navamsa (D9), which steadies and strengthens them.

Budha-Aditya yoga, with the Sun and Mercury together: a sharp, articulate mind.

Dhana yoga: the rulers of your resources and your fortune are linked, a sign of the capacity to build security over time.

Sarala yoga: success that tends to come through difficulty, or after others' setbacks.

The chapter you're in: your Mercury period

You are in your Mercury mahadasha until March 7, 2029. A Mercury period is busy and curious. Study, writing, business, networks and new skills come forward, and life rewards adaptability and clear communication. Over its seventeen years it often builds a career on what you know and who you know.

Mercury sits in your 1st house, so the period's themes run through you yourself: your confidence, appearance and direction.

Inside it, the Saturn sub-period runs until March 7, 2029: hard work, responsibility and steady building. Then your Ketu period begins.

Saturn: not in Sade Sati now

You are not in Sade Sati now. Your next one runs from May 2032 to July 2039.

Sade Sati is Saturn's seven-and-a-half-year pass through Gemini, Cancer and Leo, the signs around your Cancer Moon. It tends to ask for maturity and patience, and it often ends with your life on firmer ground.

Why a Vedic reading?

Most birth chart readings in the US are Western. They measure the zodiac from the seasons, starting at the March equinox. Vedic astrology measures it from the fixed stars. The two were lined up about 1,700 years ago and have drifted roughly 24° apart since, so most people's Sun, Moon and rising signs move back one sign in a Vedic chart. Our guide on why your sign is different in Vedic astrology explains it with examples.

The bigger difference is what gets read. A Western reading usually starts from the Sun sign. A Vedic reading starts from the rising sign and the Moon, adds the 27 nakshatras for detail the twelve signs can't give, and times your life with planetary periods called dashas. That timing layer is why many people come to Vedic astrology: it doesn't only describe you, it says which themes are in the foreground now and when that changes.

Why your birth time matters

Your birth date fixes the signs of the planets. Your birth time fixes everything that depends on the turning of the Earth: the rising sign, which changes about every two hours, the houses, and the Moon's exact degree, which sets when each of your dashas begins and ends. A time from a birth certificate is usually close enough.

If you don't know your time, tick the box. The reading then starts from your Moon, as Vedic astrologers do, leaves out the rising sign, and tells you which dates could be off.

The written reading here never changes for the same chart: it is built from fixed interpretations, not written on the fly. If a chatbot has read your chart for you, check its placements against the ones above. Wrong positions are the most common reason people find an AI reading that doesn't sound like them; our guide on why ChatGPT gets birth charts wrong shows how to check in a minute.

What a reading can and can't tell you

A birth chart reading describes tendencies and timing: the themes your chart leans toward and the periods when they come forward. It is a lens for reflection, built on a long tradition rather than proven science. It can't tell you what will definitely happen, and it is no substitute for advice from a doctor, lawyer or financial professional. What you do with a period is up to you; most people find a reading useful because it puts words to something they already half-knew.

Hear your reading, and ask about it

A written reading covers the main threads. A conversation goes where you need it to: what your next sub-period means for a job decision, why a relationship feels the way it does, what this year asks of you. Tara is AstroCall's AI Vedic astrologer. She works from the same calculated chart, reads it out loud and answers your questions, by phone in the US and in your browser everywhere else. Questions people ask

Is this birth chart reading really free?

Yes. There is no email, account or payment, and your birth details aren't stored: the chart and reading are worked out when you press the button and are gone when you leave the page. AstroCall's only paid product is talking with Tara, for people who want their chart read out loud and their questions answered.

Is this an AI birth chart reading?

The written reading on this page isn't generated by a chatbot. The chart is calculated with the Swiss Ephemeris, and the reading is put together from AstroCall's own interpretation of each placement, so the same chart always gets the same reading. Tara, whom you can talk to, is an AI astrologer. She works from the same calculated chart, so she never has to guess where your planets were.

Why does my reading show a different Sun sign?

Because it is a Vedic reading. Vedic astrology measures the zodiac from the stars, and Western astrology from the seasons. The two are now about 24° apart, so most people's Sun sign moves back one: a Western Cancer is often a Vedic Gemini. The reading shows both so you can see which of your signs changed.

Can I get a birth chart reading without my birth time?

Yes. Tick "I don't know my birth time" and the reading starts from your Moon instead of your rising sign, which is how Vedic astrologers read a chart without a time. The planets' signs will still be right, but your rising sign, houses and exact dasha dates need a birth time.

What is the difference between a birth chart and a birth chart reading?

A birth chart is the calculation: where each planet was, in which sign and house, at the moment you were born. A reading is the interpretation: what those positions say about your nature, your strengths and the timing of your life. Our Vedic birth chart calculator shows the full chart; this page explains it.

Can a birth chart reading tell me about this year?

Partly. The "chapter you're in" section names the planetary period and sub-period you are living through, with the dates they change, and the Saturn section says whether Sade Sati is running. A conversation with Tara can go through the coming months in more detail, including Jupiter's and Saturn's movements over your chart.

How accurate is a birth chart reading?

The calculation is precise: positions from the Swiss Ephemeris are correct to well under a degree for any date this tool accepts. The meanings come from tradition, not proven science, so treat a reading as a lens for reflecting on your life rather than a prediction. Our guide on how accurate Vedic astrology is goes further.
