About AstroCall
AstroCall is a phone line for Vedic astrology. You call, talk to Tara, and hear your own chart explained in plain language.
AstroCall is a phone service where you talk to Tara, an AI Vedic astrologer. She casts your sidereal birth chart from your date, time and place of birth while you are on the call, then answers your questions out loud, reading from the calculated chart rather than guessing. AstroCall also publishes free chart tools and guides on this site.
What AstroCall is
Most astrology apps give you a screen of text. AstroCall gives you a conversation. You dial the number, tell Tara your birth details, and ask what you actually want to know: why a stretch of life has felt the way it has, what your Moon sign says about how you handle stress, what the next planetary period might bring. She answers in a natural voice and you can interrupt, ask follow-ups or change the subject, the way you would with a person.
The first 3 minutes of a call are free. After that, calls use prepaid minutes, bought in packs of 15, 30 or 60.
How Tara works
Every reading happens in two steps, and they are kept separate on purpose.
- Calculation. When you give your birth details, software calculates your chart: the planets' positions, your rising sign, houses, nakshatras, planetary periods and current transits. This is astronomy and arithmetic, and it is done by code, not by the AI.
- Interpretation. Tara then reads that finished chart and explains it in response to your questions. Because she works from the calculated positions, she isn't guessing at where your planets are.
How charts are calculated
The same engine powers Tara and the free tools on this site.
- Planet positions
- Swiss Ephemeris
- Zodiac
- Sidereal, Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa
- Houses
- Whole-sign houses counted from the rising sign (lagna)
- Rahu and Ketu
- Mean lunar nodes
- Planetary periods
- Vimshottari dasha, a 120-year cycle starting from the lord of the Moon's nakshatra
- Chara karakas
- Seven-planet scheme: atmakaraka is the highest degree within its sign, darakaraka the lowest
- Sade Sati
- Saturn in the 12th, 1st or 2nd sign from the natal Moon sign
- No birth time
- Chart set for noon, houses counted from the Moon
You can try the engine yourself with the free Vedic birth chart calculator, nakshatra calculator and mahadasha calculator.
How we use AI
Tara is an AI, not a human astrologer. Her voice is generated by ElevenLabs, and her reasoning comes from Claude, a model made by Anthropic, running on Amazon Bedrock. She introduces herself as AstroCall's AI astrologer, and if you ask whether she is a real person, she says plainly that she is an AI.
The guides on this site are drafted with AI help, then checked against the actual calculations: dates, degrees and examples come from the same engine as the tools, not from the model's memory.
What AI is good at here: explaining a complicated chart patiently, in everyday words, and connecting placements to the question you asked. What it can't do: know the future, replace a doctor, lawyer, therapist or financial advisor, or be right every time. Astrology is a tradition of interpretation, not a proven science, and Tara's readings are for entertainment and personal reflection.
Privacy in brief
The free tools on this site save nothing: your chart is calculated, shown and forgotten. On calls, AstroCall keeps the call transcript and short notes, and your birth details if you ask Tara to remember them, so that next time she can pick up where you left off. If you would rather she didn't remember you, say "forget me" on a call and your saved details and notes are deleted. The site counts visits without cookies or personal data. The full details are in our privacy policy.
What we don't sell
AstroCall sells call minutes and nothing else. No gemstones, no rituals, no paid remedies, no "fix your chart" packages. If a reading touches on a hard period, Tara will talk it through with you, but she won't sell you a way out of it.
